Tai Chi Classes in the Lake District

Lakes T'AI CHI and Internal Arts

Look well to this day

for it is life, the very best of life.

In its brief course lie all the realities of existence,

The joy of growth,

The splendour of action,

The glory of power.

For yesterday is but a memory

and tomorrow is only a vision

But today, if well lived

Makes every yesterday a memory of happiness

and every tomorrow a vision of hope.

Look well therefore,

To this day."

Welcome to our website!Newly updated September 2009.

We offer classes throughout the South Lakes area -

Windermere, Kendal, Ambleside, Burneside, Arnside, Broughton in Furness, Milnthorpe

Yang style T'ai Chi - hand forms, Qigong, weaponry, partnerwork, Ba Gua, meditation and philosophy

These pages are designed to be the club magazine of the Lakes T'ai Chi classes and to give an illustration of T'ai Chi as a recreational pastime to those interested in joining us.
We hope to give you an insight into the different perspectives of some of the people that come to our classes on our t'ai chi enthusiasts page.

T'ai Chi is a recreation that is very difficult to explain and indeed the more you begin to understand then the more you realise you don't understand. We hope in this website at least to give you an impression of what "that stuff they do in the parks in China" is about.
In order to navigate this site you might like to first look at the classes we do, and the page about forms which is one of the central aspects of T'ai Chi. Otherwise, if you go straight to the t'ai chi enthusiasts page, you'll find a nice width of comment from some of club `members`, (which we intend to update from time to time). Then suitably intrigued you can wander our pages at will, and indeed you probably haven't read this far and are wandering around already.
